FKF Premier League side Bandari FC has confirmed the appointment of Ken Odhiambo as the club’s new head coach.
Odhiambo returns to Bandari after previously leading the team in 2018 and replaces John Baraza who has since been demoted to be his assistant with former assistant Jerim Onyango reverting back to his duty as the club’s keeper trainer.

“Ken Odhiambo is the new head coach of Bandari FC. The Harambee Stars Coach takes the helm, and will be deputized by John Baraza, while Jerim Onyango will head the keepers,” Bandari said in a statement on Thursday.
The appointment of Odhiambo doesn’t come as a surprise as the Football Kenya Federation advised teams to appoint coaches with CAF A Diploma Certificates ahead of the new season; this being a requirement for clubs who would want to pass the CAF Club Licensing test.
Odhiambo who doubles up as the national team assistant coach and was in charge of the Kenya Under 23 team that participated in the COSAFA Cup earlier in the month will be hoping to change the club’s fortunes following a dismal performance last season.
Bandari finished fourth last season with 52 points, 21 points below champions Gor Mahia, despite having been one of the teams who had been backed at the start of last season to mount a title challenge.
